Interviews with Trans Creators

This section of Trans Comics/Zines in the DIY Scene hosts interviews I've conducted with trans comic/zine artists. To listen to an interview, select the artists' name from the sidebar.

Project Overview

These interviews are conducted and recorded via Zoom or Webex. An edited version is shared through the podcast Drawing a Dialogue and the full, unedited version, transcript, and metadata are hosted on this site for preservation and reference.
My goal for sharing these interviews is to highlight the voices and work of my trans siblings making self-published and small press comics and zines or adjacent work. I hope listening to them speak inspires you to seek out their work and the work of other trans and queer creators! These interviews are also part of my dissertation, which I explain more in depth on the main site's about page.

Rights and Use/Reproduction

All interview materials, including the interview audio file and transcript, are owned by the respective interviewee unless otherwise noted, and are hosted on this website with the express permission of the interviewee. Consequently, I cannot provide permissions to reproduce materials on behalf of the interviewee unless otherwise noted. Specific rights information is listed on each interview's page. Interview materials may not be reproduced for commercial purposes under any circumstances.
